An otaku(?) in Malaysia

Tough luck mate ^^

Finally gotten watching the final episode of Gosyusho-sama Ninomiya-kun. So what I do think about it? Read on…

Well, for me it was a more than decent enough of an anime. It does it have it strength as well as it weakness, I reckon.

The plot of Ninomiya was, well, rather cliché with the typical boys meets long lost girl, another girl from his past that got mix in, he can’t decide which to chose etc,etc,etc plot. But it didn’t exactly fall into sheer boredom route as well, which is fine with me. It was fun seeing the interaction between Ninomiya, Mayu, Reika. Lots of humour as well as some good emotional scene between them. Reika got to be 2nd best tsundere chara this season (guess who’s first ^^). Ryoko and Mihiko was also a hoot to see as well. Oh yeah, fear the Mayu dojikoness.

The animation quality was kinda, uh, poor I guess. But it was not as bad as Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro na (It’s the round cabbage I tell you ^^). I reckon the quality would improve markedly in the dvd release. Music wise, the Op and Ed was decent enough. No idea about the Ost though.

I really like the mini theatre at the start of each episode of the anime. I found that most are humorous, especially when Reika, help Hosaka convert the whole world to believe the superiority of small chichi. I Lol through the whole thing.

Finally we come to the…fanservice. Yes, this show features gratuitous fanservice. Well, I don’t really mind the fanservice part (you ecchi, lanie-emon you ^^). I reckon it provide humour as well as prodding the plot. So yeah, the fanservice is not necessarily a bad thing.

Like I said above Gosyusho-sama Ninomiya-kun is an above average anime. Sure it’s not perfect and has its own share of weakness but I enjoyed the ride while it last. Would it be too much in hoping for a 2nd season or at least an Ova ^_^.

And a little bit of Mayu is fine too ^^
