An otaku(?) in Malaysia

Finally got around listening to Lucky star Karaoke box cd. One of the weirder stuff I heard. And funny. It is really funny.

The songs are ED taken from Lucky Star. As you can see, most are perform karaoke wise. Which means its rather over the top. Well, all of the song reviewed here are my favourite one’s.

First song I heard was ‘Shōri da! Akumaizer’ 3. It was a foreshadowing of a taste of what I can except. It was so totally over the top. And Aya Hirano sounds if she is drunk or on mind altering substance.

Next is ‘Sore Ga, Ai Deshou’. Being a Fumoffu fan, i was rather excited by a different rendition of this favourite song of mine. At first i was wee bit disappointed as Aya Hirano rendition is rather average. But later in the song, Aya must be channelling Konata-sama spirit or she is drunk/high wtv as she start to sing the song altenately between Konata and normal style, which is hilarious.

‘Valentine Kiss’ is a rather a sweet song, as Tsukasa (Kaori Fukuhara) is projecting moeeeee’ness while she is singing the song. And you gotta love Aya Hirano background singing trying to support Tsukasa, and she all hyper which add more to the chaos.

Aya Hirano rendition of ‘Monkey Magic’ is so camp, it rocks. Her failing to sing the song properly is pure magic.

‘Doraemon No Uta’ was all sweetness rolled into one. Gotta love Konata over the top exclamation during the song

‘Go!Godman’ wind hands down as the weirdest. I have no idea What the heck this all about. And yet this is my most favourite song of all.

The other song in the album are interesting as well. Some of you might notice I’m liking the ’sweetly and cheery’ song above while most of the time I would have consign it to the bin. Well, I’m a recent convert to Lucky Star, which means almost everything ‘Lucky Star’ on it is all right with me.
